From his own extensive experience in working for social inclusion for persons with disability, the president of the FENAVAPE, Marcos Antonio Gonçalves, wrote the book “Com a Cabeça e o Coração”. The work reflects the spirit that inspired him to create the entity in 1982, and which guides its actions even today.
In the book, Marcos relates the facts of his family life, like the birth of his mentally disabled brother. Refusing to accept the inhuman treatment which his brother received, Marcos took on a father’s role at an age when he still needed one. And so began the trajectory which transformed him into a community leader and successful entrepreneur at the head of AVAPE. | | EASY COOKING - 200 PRACTICAL EVERYDAY RECIPES
The collection was put together by a group of AVAPE volunteers, with tips for entrees, sandwiches, main courses, drinks and desserts. Most of the recipes were obtained from their own families and have the unmistakable hallmark of home flavors. |
